HOUSTON — STILL FRIENDS - Former Friendswood teammates Will Ebner (Missouri) and Austin Beaty (Navy) were on opposite sidelines when the two teams met in the Texas Bowl at Reliant Stadium on New Year's Eve. Navy dismantled Missouri 35-13 on the field, but that didn't change the friendship of Ebner and Beaty.
Ebner, who is a sophomore and the starting middle linebacker for the Tigers, had a strong showing on the field while Beaty is a red-shirt freshman and should see some playing time next season for the Midshipmen. Ebner finished with four solo tackles, five assisted stops, one tackle for a loss, and one sack. The Friendswood community should be proud of both of these outstanding young men.
