PEARLAND — Pearland Jr. High South-Lady D-Backs 8th grade A basketball team won the 2010 Zone Championship.  The girls took their motto “Hold the Rope” to heart, and learned the true meaning of teamwork. Under the coaching of Niki Patteron the team reached their goal-not only becoming zone champions, but doing it by going undefeated with a 9-0 record in regular season play.
