PEARLAND — Junior pitcher Brock Hartson may wear No. 13 on his baseball uniform, but it turned out to be his lucky number as the Pearland Oilers shutout Pasadena 11-0 behind a beautiful no-hitter tossed by the righthander in the District 22-5A opener for both teams.
Hartson struck out 11 and walked four while his teammates picked up 12 hits to plate 11 runs in the lopsided shutout.

After Pearland got two more runs in the top of the sixth for a comfortable 6-0 lead entering the seventh, head coach Ben Pardo saw his offense finally explode as the Oilers got five runs on five hits to put the game out of reach as Hartson put the Eagles out in order in the final stanza to claim his no-hit gem.
Drew DeKerlegand had two hits, scored a run, and picked up an RBI. Kelly Cross was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Jake Paddock was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and to RBIs. Hartson came back strong in the bottom of the fourth to strike out a pair and then struck out the side in the fifth and the first batter in the sixth to give him seven strikeouts in a row.
