WILLIS — The Pearland girls won their third straight team title when they captured the Willis Invitational cross country meet.
There were 11 teams that competed at Misty Meadows Girls Scout Camp in Willis.
Pearland won the meet with 42 points followed by La Porte (69), College Park (122), Montgomery (146), Stratford (151), and Magnolia (202) as the top six teams.
The Lady O's will run at Clear Creek on Friday, October 2 at Walter Hall Park at 2:00 p.m.
The course was wet and muddy, but Pearland had six girls who medaled and ran excellent times.
Courtney Mose finished second for the silver medal with a time of 12:23. Virginia Ney was just a few strides behind for third place and the bronze medal in 12:27.
Amanda Maniet was 9th in 12:49 followed by Jai LeBlanc (11th - 12:56), Kathlyn Lee (17th - 12:03), Lucille Little (36th - 13:39), and Brittany Crisp (46th - 13:48).
"I am extremely proud of this team," coach Lori Ziegelmeyer said. "Our 1-5 split continues to drop weekly which is a sign that our team is getting stronger."
