ARIZONA COMMIT - Dawson senior running back Darrius Smith has given an early non-binding verbal commitment to continue his education and playing career at the University of Arizona.Smith was named the District 23-6A Offensive Player of the Year last season after he rushed for 1,499 yards on 209 carries while scoring 17 touchdowns.He also caught 18 passes for 307 yards and two more TDs.
