Friendswood 53, Dawson 28
The Lady Mustangs eliminated Dawson from the playoff race in the blowout. Friendswood (23-4, 9-2) was led by Annalisa Hall with 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Kellsey Kaufhold added 14 points, 10 boards and five steals, while Jill Bergeson had 10 points, eight boards and four blocks.
Friendswood 57 - Santa Fe 19
Kelsey Kauhfold scored 18 points and Jennifer Twyford added 11 as the Lady Mustangs ran roughshod over the Santa Fe Lady Indians.
Friendswood outscored the visitors 35-11 in the first half and then allowed the Lady Indians only eight total points in the second half, including one basket in the final period, to coast to the lopsided win. The Lady 'Stangs have secured their place in the post-season.
Pearland 61 - Deer Park 52 (OT)
The Pearland Lady Oilers avenged their first round loss to Deer Park by taking the second round contest 61-52 in overtime to stay in the playoff hunt this season.
The game finished at 53-53 at the end of regulation, but the Lady O's outscored the Lady Deer 8-5 in the extra four minute period to secure the win.
Ebony Ford led the way with 21 points and six rebounds while Johnasha Manning added 16 and Marissa LeJune tossed in 10 points while grabbing six boards for the winners.
Pearland 62 - Pasadena 36
Ebony Ford hit 12-of-17 shots from the field and was 3-for-4 from the free throw line to finish with 27 points against the Pasadena Lady Eagles.
Pearland led 26-18 at intermission before outscoring the Lady Eagles 36-17 in the second half.
Dobie leads the league at 10-0 followed by Deer Park (9-2), La Porte (7-4), and Pearland (6-4). Unless something really weird happens - the Lady O's should advance to the post-season.
