Lady Oilers have special signing day

PEARLAND — The Pearland Lady Oilers are fresh off capturing the 2010 Class 5A state softball championship and Monday was a special day as the Lady O's met at Pearland High School to order their state championship rings and to have a special signing day.
The players and coaches took their official state championship picture with their gold medals and then took their seats of honor to autograph their individual pictures and the team poster for local fans who attended the special event.
Also attending the event was the Pearland Power girls 8-and-under team who recently won their state tournament and will advance to the USFA World Series in Florida in July. The other Pearland Power team also was present and the two teams joined the Lady Oilers in a joint team picture.
