In dominating fashion, the Dawson Lady Eagles captured the Aggieland Invitational Tournament over the Christmas holidays to improve their season record to 22-2 as one of the top ten 6A teams in the state.

The Lady Eagles closed out the 2024-2025 season with a 34-5 record while advancing to the region finals for the first time in school history. This was also the first time Dawson had ever won an outright district championship with a 16-0 record.

Dawson opened up the season by winning the inaugural Hoopfest Invitational Tournament featuring some of the top teams in the state and the Lady Eagles made a bold statement by going undefeated to capture the tournament's top trophy.

The Lady Eagles followed that tournament by finishing second in Pasadena's McDonald's Tournament.

Recently, Dawson went undefeated in the Aggieland Invitational Tournament by beating Hallsville (55-23), Bryan (84-34), Hebron (67-46), Wylie (50-41), and C.E. King (65-53).

Making the All-Tournament team for Dawson was Journey Lovett, Kendall Ford, Aubrianna Howard, and Faith Etienne.

Also, Kendall Ford was named Channel 13 "Player of the Week."
